Sexual Wellness for Modern Wellbeing.

Sexual Wellness.

Sexual wellness involves the intersection of the physical, mental, and social states of wellbeing as they connect with sexuality. Increasing awareness around sexual wellness creates an opportunity to be more open and authentic in your social and sexual relationships as well as the relationship with yourself. In short, sexual wellness involves mind, body, and soul.

We are all sexual beings. There is a uniqueness to every individual sexual experience considering intersections of identity, partner(s), stage of life, trauma, loss, pregnancy, parenting, sexual history, and so on. Sexual wellness is not a common place discussion, and it is time to change the narrative.

Meet Heather.

Sex Therapy can be a unique and satisfying experience. My intention is to facilitate safe spaces which create openings for the explorations of the sexual self. I have dedicated my professional and academic career to understanding the complexities of the human experience including the sexual side of humanity. The pandemic has created a seemingly never-ending void of social, emotional, psychological and sexual issues. Many have come to the conclusion of “this is my life now” feeling too stuck to pursue change. We have all felt stuck and we all deserve to feel supported, to feel heard, and to have a safe and neutral space to be angry, sad, happy, and honest about our sexual distress.

I am a mother, a stepparent, a student, a partner, an ally, a friend, a baker, a lover of true crime, and a writer. I enjoy spending time with my partner and our two children, preferably camping. Let’s bring Sexual Wellness to Bainbridge Island!
